Robinson's Nuttall Middle School HVAC equipment was obsolete, the company that made the equipment was out of business, and the school could not get the custom parts to repair the system. Performance Services was selected to design and install a comprehensive HVAC solution that is both highly energy efficient and provides an optimal learning environment. Nuttall Middle School joined an elite group of Illinois schools by achieving the ENERGY STAR label in December of 2011. As of the date of qualification, less than 3 percent of Illinois schools have earned this distinction. In addition, Nuttall has reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 592 metric tons, equivalent to the energy usage of 47 homes in a single year.
