“A key ingredient to student learning is the learning environment, and an important aspect of the learning environment is the heating and cooling of classrooms. For many years, South Adams battled to keep classrooms at comfortable temperatures. Our new heating and cooling system for the school campus is helping us win this battle. To earn the Energy Star Award is an added bonus. It is great to be recognized that our energy costs are considerably less than the average Indiana school. I want to thank our design-build team, including Performance Services, the school board, and Dave Vorhees, for casting the vision years ago, so that an energy-efficient learning environment could be a reality for the students of South Adams."
