Customer Quotes

"All of us at South Vermillion Community Schools are excited about this recognition. We are very fortunate to have a strong working relationship with Performance Services and believe that the efforts put forth to date will enable us to seek more ways to conserve energy in the future of all our buildings. It is important to not only teach our students about the value of energy conservation, but to also lead by example. This is a wonderful accomplishment and working with Performance Services, something we hope and plan to maintain for years to come."

Needs and Solutions

Temperature - Every room is within 1 degree F of set point during the day. A high efficiency gas fired boiler was added as a summer boiler to the heating system. Classroom unit ventilators were replaced in order to improve the air flow in the classroom and reduce sound level to ensure a quality learning environment.

Humidity - Humidity sensors and proper programming in place to keep humidity levels down, especially during the hot summer months.

Fresh Air Ventilation - CO2 levels are measured with sensors to maintain levels below 1000 PPM with outside air dampers at minimum position.

Air Distribution - New air handling units provide a path for air return in order to improve control and comfort. Fans drives adjusted to variable speeds to distribute proper amounts of air and save energy.

Noise - Reduced classroom noise levels in areas below 50 decibels.
