Peshtigo, Wisconsin — The Peshtigo School District welcomed students, families, and community members to celebrate the completion of its middle/high school renovation and expansion project during a public ribbon-cutting and open-house ceremony on Monday, August 31, 2026.
The event showcased revitalized learning spaces designed to support future generations of students while preserving the district’s historic character and community pride. Guests had the opportunity to tour the renovated and expanded facility following the ceremony.
Approved by voters in 2022, the project reflects the community’s long-term investment in modern, student-centered learning environments. The comprehensive project includes modernized and additional classrooms, upgraded technical education spaces focused on manufacturing and construction pathways, a new multi-purpose gymnasium, enhanced fitness and wellness areas, and critical infrastructure improvements throughout the facility.
A key focus throughout the design and construction process was preserving the school’s historic identity. Renovations restored original architectural elements, including the historic gymnasium (now Media Center and Commons), original brick façade details, and additional window openings to increase natural light in learning spaces.
“This project was driven by a vision to provide a modern, adaptable learning environment for our students and staff, while deeply honoring the rich history that makes our school the true heartbeat of the community”, expressed Superintendent Patrick Rau. “We are profoundly grateful to the Peshtigo community, whose unwavering support and investment made this vision a reality.”
The district partnered with Performance Services to guide planning, design, and construction management for the project through a collaborative, community-centered approach.
