Project Description

Valley View Community Unit School District 365U installed two Guaranteed Savings Projects in the summer of 2016. These fast-track projects were completed in a short summer time frame and completed on time and on budget. The projects included a major HVAC renovation of Brooks Middle School and roof replacement at five other school buildings.

The projects were so successful the District decided to further reduce energy costs by utilizing a performance contract to design and install five rooftop solar systems totaling 1.9 megawatts of renewable energy. Valley View’s solar array was completed in July 2017, and the school is now one of a few Illinois schools utilizing photovoltaics to significantly reduce energy costs and their carbon footprint.
