"We had a large air handler that needed to be replaced with more efficient equipment. When Performance Services went to install it, there was not enough structural steel to hang it up. Performance Services didn't come back to us for more money. They just took care of it. They replaced and upgraded the structural steel and made a cat walk above and were able to hang the air handler. There truly was no change order even with a job of that size."

At the time of the Westview renovation in 2004, 100% of utility costs were being paid out of the general fund and the opportunity was apparent: reducing energy related operating costs would open up a world of possibilities to enhance the learning environment. Aside from the benefit of achieving great thermal comfort and indoor air quality, Westview could afford more teachers, have smaller class sizes and enhance their school programs.
