Frank Kaminski is the former Chief of Police for both the City of Evanston, Illinois, and the City of Park Ridge, Illinois, where he served with distinction for over four decades. Throughout his career, he built a reputation for advancing community-focused policing, fostering collaboration between law enforcement and residents, and leading with integrity.
At the state level, Frank held leadership roles with the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police (ILACP), including serving as President from 2015 to 2016. During his presidency, he championed initiatives to strengthen community trust, advance professional standards, and address critical issues, including gun violence. He also contributed to the development of policing best practices as a team leader and assessor for the Illinois Law Enforcement Accreditation Program and the Commission on Law Enforcement Accreditation. He is also an Illinois Certified Police Chief.
Beyond Illinois, Frank has shared his expertise nationally and internationally. He has served as a consultant and trainer on police ethics for the U.S. Department of State, supporting efforts to build ethical and accountable policing practices abroad.
