Reidsville, GA. Tattnall County School District recently welcomed students, families, staff, and community members to celebrate the completion of its new agricultural facility during a special open house held on August 27th.
The new facility was designed to support the continued growth of agricultural education throughout the district while creating a flexible space for students, educators, and members of the local agricultural community.
With growing participation in FFA, Young Farmers, and agricultural programs, the district recognized the need for additional space to host shows, meetings, training sessions, and other activities. The completed facility provides a purpose-built environment where these programs can continue to grow, and students can gain valuable hands-on experiences.
The new space features a small animal show ring with bleacher seating to accommodate guests during exhibitions. A kitchenette and concession stand support events and gatherings, while dedicated restrooms and storage help the facility function efficiently for a variety of uses.
A partially enclosed breezeway connects the new building to the district’s existing agricultural facility, allowing the two spaces to function as a single cohesive complex. The connection also provides greater flexibility for the original facility to be used for staging, additional pens, and other supporting needs during shows and events.
Beyond supporting student programs, the new facility provides Tattnall County with a dedicated gathering space for the broader agricultural community. Its flexible design allows the district to accommodate educational activities, exhibitions, meetings, and community events throughout the year.
The project also included improvements at the district’s central Board Office. Existing restrooms were expanded and modernized to better accommodate staff, educators, and visitors attending board meetings, professional development sessions, and other districtwide gatherings.
Performance Services partnered with Tattnall County School District to provide educational planning, architecture, engineering, and construction services for the project.
The completed improvements reflect Tattnall County Schools’ continued investment in spaces that support students, educators, and the community while creating opportunities for agricultural programs to grow well into the future.
