Brent joined the Performance Services team in 2024. Brent has worked in the water and wastewater industry for over thirty-six years, thirty-three of whom have been in supervisory positions. He has experience in domestic, industrial, and contract operations. Responsibilities were managing activated sludge and attached growth facilities ranging in size from 1.4 to 20 million gallons per day (mgd), including heavy industrial loading from poultry processing facilities for eight years.
Brent is knowledgeable in managing water systems using chlorine, fluoride, lime, and sedimentation treatment. He has experience in facility design, optimization and modifications, equipment recommendations and sizing, and developing positive working relationships with regulatory officials during supervisory tenure. His skills extend into other environmental areas, including air, stormwater, hazardous waste, and solid waste.
Brent also developed cross-training programs for operations and maintenance SOP’s for facilities. He has performed facility evaluations, startups, cost model projections, contract preparation, and contract negotiations for proposed contracts.
He has experience in union negotiations, working with union representatives, delivering utility and public works projects on budget, and providing savings to clients. He is knowledgeable in developing project operating plans, safety, and compliance training. He has administered project contracts and amendments for clients and provided solutions, including compliance, cost containment, staffing levels, and inter-local agreements.
Having grown up in Northwest Ohio outside of the Lima area, Brent is a lifelong Ohio State fan. He loves the outdoors and working on his farm with his wife and their miniature dachshund, Buster.
