Jim joined the Performance Services team in 2021. For the past 2 years, Jim was self-employed as President of STECK Solutions, LLC and brings a wide variety of operational and sales experience in building automation, HVAC equipment, and solar PV industries. Jim began his career in 1990 at Landis & Gyr Powers (eventually purchased by Siemens), where he worked with, and for many of the earliest Performance Services employees, as a Design Engineer and Project Manager, eventually moving into a Sales role calling on multiple vertical markets. Jim left Siemens for an opportunity to sell both HVAC equipment and controls at Johnson Controls and, after a few other career moves, is happy to be back among friends at Performance Services.
Outside of work, Jim enjoys spending time with his family. He enjoys being outdoors – camping, hiking, boating, and hanging out with his 3-year-old goldendoodle, Junie.
