Matt has over 35 years of experience in both the energy services/performance contracting and controls/building automation industries. His career includes various roles in engineering, engineering management, project management, operations management, and general management at local, regional, and company levels.
Matt got involved in energy services very early in his career. He was responsible for the engineering and project management of a large, challenging industrial project in Rockford, Illinois, after being with a controls company for only one year. Even as engineering manager and operations manager of several offices, Matt always emphasized the importance of handling at least one large construction project himself, to stay close to the tools and processes his team was using. Matt also spent about eight years leading a small company in Wisconsin that specialized in system integrations, using the Tridium-Niagara platforms. Prior to joining Performance Services, he was also instrumental in helping to grow another Midwest energy services team to annual revenues of $50M-$60M, in roles of operations manager, business unit manager, and regional director.
Matt and his wife have two sons. He is huge Green Bay Packers fan and has been fortunate to hold season tickets for many years. Matt loves sports, music, movies, and taking walks with his two labradoodles.
