His professional experience includes leadership roles at Ameresco, Inc., Trane Technologies, and Northwind Phoenix, where he consistently delivered innovative solutions, operational efficiencies, and long-term value for clients. Throughout his career, he has provided oversight to all aspects of project execution, including safety, scheduling, budgeting, client relations, and technical and administrative support.
With a career spanning central plant construction, remodels, pipeline installations, energy system integrations, and customized controls programming, Russell has delivered complex, high-value projects across diverse sectors. His portfolio includes transformative work for municipalities, universities, and private organizations, such as the $45.5 million Combined Heat and Power Plant at Arizona State University, the $150 million Northwind Phoenix Downtown District Energy system, and the City of Phoenix’s $26.8 million LED streetlight conversion encompassing 92,500 fixtures. He has also led multi-phase energy efficiency programs, advanced metering infrastructure installations, and renewable energy developments, including large-scale solar PV and battery storage projects. Russell brings his ability to manage complex technical requirements while balancing stakeholder priorities and a strategic and disciplined approach to every project he leads.
