Trent joined the Performance Services team in 2022. Prior to that, Trent was employed as a Mechanical Engineer at Bailey Edward, a full-service architecture, planning, engineering, and interior design firm for three years. In this role, he led the design of mechanical systems for a wide range of renovation and new construction projects for schools, government facilities, single and multi-family residential, and commercial properties. Working from the engineering office in Fox River Grove, IL, Trent supported construction projects throughout the Chicago area and Midwest, including HVAC upgrades at the Illinois Math and Science Academy, remodeling of legal offices at the U.S. Courthouse in Hammond, IN, and renovation of the Historic Clubhouse at Chicago Golf Club.
He began his career in the power industry with Sargent & Lundy in Chicago, where he spent six years performing piping analysis for nuclear power plants. He transitioned to the design of mechanical and plumbing systems for construction projects in 2018, working for a small engineering firm in Denver, CO, before returning home to the Chicago area to be closer to family. After growing up in Michigan and Oswego, IL, Trent graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering Mechanics and has since become a licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois and Colorado.
Outside of work, Trent is passionate about soccer, as a player, fan, and referee. He is a supporter and season ticket holder of Chicago Fire FC and closely follows the US National Teams. Trent also enjoys staying active by playing golf, running, and bicycling, completing his first marathon and 100-mile century ride in the last two years
