ASHRAE Celebrates Achievements of Members at the 2017 Annual Conference
ATLANTA – ASHRAE recognized the outstanding achievements of 111 members and their contributions to furthering energy efficiency in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration industry during the 2017 Annual Conference.
Among those honored was Thursten Simonsen, Performance Services Business Development Manager. He along with 56 other ASHRAE members received the Distinguished Service Award, which salutes members of any grade who have served the Society faithfully and with distinction and who have given freely of their time and talent in chapter, regional and Society activities.
Thursten is a licensed professional engineer with experience in the design of K-12 buildings and project management in the K-12 and municipal buildings industry. His interests include energy efficiency, energy efficient design, sustainable facilities, high-performance buildings, and facility planning, maintenance and management. Thursten serves the Texas market and helps customers there achieve energy efficiency by developing high-performing buildings.
