Fennimore, WI — Fennimore Community Schools is proud to announce the completion of its 2024–2025 referendum projects. The district will host a Parent Teacher Night on Thursday, November 13th from 1:30–7:00 PM, featuring self-guided tours at the elementary school, where the principal will be available to answer any questions, and student-led tours every 30 minutes at the middle/high school.
This milestone marks the culmination of a community-supported capital referendum aimed at addressing critical infrastructure needs and enhancing learning environments across the district. Originally constructed in the 1950s, the school buildings had aged significantly, and the referendum enabled the district to address long-standing issues, including the removal of asbestos-containing roof decking, to ensure safe and healthy spaces for students and staff.
“On behalf of our students, staff, school board, and school district, I want to thank the Fennimore community for your strong support of the April 2024 referendum. Your vote of confidence is more than a financial investment—it is a commitment to our children’s future and to the continued strength of our schools. Your belief in our schools demonstrates the strong partnership between the district and community. I am deeply appreciative of your trust, generosity, and commitment to education in Fennimore. Together, we are shaping a brighter future for our students,” said Superintendent Jane Yeomans-Wonderling.
The improvements span both the elementary and middle/high school campuses and include:
• New Career and Technical Education (CTE) Addition and Weight Room at the Middle/High School
• Reconfigured All-Purpose/Fitness Area and Science Classrooms
• Roof Repairs and Asbestos Removal
• ADA-Compliant Restroom Renovations and Elevator Modernization
• Playground Equipment Replacement and ADA Ramp Installation at the Elementary School
• Air Conditioning Installations, Fire Alarm Upgrades, and Lighting Enhancements at athletic fields
