With over 30 years of dedicated service in education, Dianna Chrisman has built a reputation as a transformative leader in Northeast Colorado. After spending the majority of her career in various educational leadership roles, she culminated her professional journey with 10 years as superintendent of Yuma Schools in Yuma, CO, overseeing the district’s academic and operational success.
During her career, Dianna spearheaded multiple major district improvements, overseeing renovations and the construction of two new school facilities that provided students and staff with modern, safe, and inspiring spaces to learn. She successfully secured and managed three BEST (Building Excellent Schools Today) grants—two dedicated to critical HVAC upgrades and one tied to a successful bond election. That bond brought to life a $32 million state-of-the-art facility designed to expand Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs and encourage student collaboration, where she poured extraordinary attention into design details—both the obvious and the often-overlooked—that elevate the educational environment in lasting ways.
Dianna’s leadership in these projects demonstrates a deep commitment to enhancing educational infrastructure and ensuring that students have access to cutting-edge facilities that support both academic and vocational growth. Throughout her career, Dianna worked to foster strong community relationships, ensuring that all stakeholders—students, parents, staff, and local partners—had a voice in shaping the future of the district. Guided by the belief that true leadership means empowering others, she leads from behind, fostering collaboration, driving continuous improvement, and equipping staff to create an environment where every student can excel.
