Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities
Architectural- Use REVIT in architectural design and Bluebeam Revu in coordination.
- Assist/manage the production efforts on projects/designs.
- Assist with preliminary program assessments.
- Lead development of construction documents, code study, and manage construction administration for the architectural team.
- Work directly with Principal Architect and school administration to determine project needs and goals.
- Collaborate with Principal Architect/Business Development Managers on project procurement.
- Assist with Architectural Design: Work hand-in-hand with the Principal Architect to develop design concepts, ensuring alignment with client vision, project goals, and all regulatory requirements.
- Technical Detailing & Documentation: Produce comprehensive, accurate, and coordinated construction documents.
- Building Systems Integration: Apply your strong knowledge of structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and other building systems, effectively coordinating with in-house engineers and consultants to seamlessly integrate these into the architectural design.
- Building Codes & Regulations Mastery: Navigate complex local, state, and national building codes, zoning ordinances, accessibility standards (e.g., ADA), and life safety regulations, expertly handling agency reviews and permitting processes.
- Construction Administration & Site Observation: Oversee construction administration duties, including reviewing shop drawings, material samples, RFIs, ASIs, and change orders. You'll conduct site observations to ensure construction adheres to design intent and quality standards.
- Sustainable Design Principles: Integrate environmentally responsible solutions, applying sustainable design strategies and knowledge of certifications like LEED, CO-CHPS, WELL or similar.
- Software Proficiency: Demonstrate expert-level proficiency in essential architectural software (Revit, basic Auto-CAD, Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite)
- Attend and collaborate in all required project meetings and presentations.
- Assist with presenting to customers in design and board meetings.
- Coordinate with internal engineering team, estimators and construction managers.
- Communicate with outside consultants regarding projects.
- Work with Principal Architect and BDMs to develop and execute strategies to procure new work.

Working Conditions
• The majority of the work will be performed at the Performance Service office in Wisconsin. There may be occasional travel to client sites.Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience- Masters or Bachelors in Architecture
- Architect License required.
- Minimum of 7-12 years of documentation experience
- Minimum of 5 years commercial building experience.
- Experience with Design/Build project delivery a plus
- K-12 Design experience a plus.
- Experience in successfully delivering multiple projects.
- Experience and knowledge of building construction technology.
