A native North Carolinian, he graduated from NC State University with undergraduate and graduate degrees in architecture. Kevin’s expertise spans all phases of project development, encompassing design and management experience with K-12/higher education, commercial, mixed-use, and government clients. For the past two spring semesters, Kevin co-taught graduate studios in the Urban Design program at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. From 2015 to 2024, he served as a Managing Principal in the Charlotte office of Clark Nexsen, a 350-person architectural and engineering firm. For a decade prior, he was a Design Principal with AECOM, where he was based in Charlotte and Roanoke, VA. Kevin was elected to the College of Fellows of the AIA in 2013, an honor bestowed by a jury of peers for advancing the practice, mentoring young architects, and providing service to society.
