Jonathan Blackwell

National Director of AMI and Water Meter Solutions, LEED AP

Since 2005, Jonathan has focused on self-funding infrastructure solutions for education and local and county government customers. In addition, he has 15+ years of expertise and experience developing smart water meter and advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) projects for cities and utility districts. Jonathan has had the pleasure of delivering these solutions at a national Fortune 500 ESCO, a systems integrator, and a product distributor. The unique insights that Jonathan earned by wearing various hats within these organizations has enabled him to better serve his customers, his sub-contractors, and his colleagues at Performance Services.

Technology is the ultimate equalizor, and Jonathan is drawn to new technologies and how IoT can enable cities and utility districts to operate more efficiently, economically, and sustainably. With the advancement of IoT, becoming a smarter city is no longer just for big cities. Today, every city is capable of utilizing technologies to enhance and improve their communities.

Outside of work, Jonathan is an avid runner and has participated in many obstacle course races (OCR's), four marathons, and many local charitable runs to raise money. He also enjoys indoor cycling and one day plans to join the "real" cyclists on the road. If he isn't at a tennis complex watching his kiddos compete in weekend tournaments, the Blackwell Family can be found BBQ'ing in the backyard.
